Show Friday (6/25) at The Middle East, Acoustic set on WAAF Sunday, The New Brahmin fashion interview!

Show tomorrow, 6/25 at The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA. It's psychedelia-inspired 28 Degrees Taurus' CD Release. The haunting and shoegazing Static of the Gods headline and Banditas open the night (we should be on second). FB Event - come out and meet our new merch mannequin (named Barbarella)!

Then on Sunday, 6/27 we'll be performing 4 songs acoustic on Bay State Rock with Carmelita on WAAF - you can listen online at http://waaf.com! We start playing right at 11:30PM. We're working the songs out on ukulele and glockenspiel - so it will be VERY different from what we do live!

Sophia was recently interviewed by Boston fashion blog, The New Brahmin on what goes in to getting ready for a show and about her personal style and fashion icons- they even took a few photos (on abandoned T property - we encountered  a zombie house, a possibly rabid raccoon, and some rusty nails - you can't tell any of that from the photos, however!)

Finally, we'll be headed out on tour the last week in July - let us know if you'd like to see us in your town!

Show Saturday at The Middle East & in the Boston Phoenix this week!

Pick up a copy of The Boston Phoenix this week to check out our interview with Barry Thompson (or click the link to read it online)! We had a really fun (if evasive) interview with Barry in our kitchen – he even taped us doing an impromptu stripped-down version of our Leonard Cohen cover, “First We Take Manhattan.”

Here's that video (watch to the end for some ridiculousness from Mike and I):

and a quote from the article:
"Unveiled last month, Do Not Forsake’s inaugural EP, The New Number 2, offers clamorous, jangling, riffy weirdness topped by Cacciola’s husky sing-shouting. It makes a fine choice for anyone who wants to enjoy six noisy rock songs, or anyone who’s being chased by an ominous, ever-present nonentity."

We are playing Saturday, May 22 at The Middle East Upstairs! This is a big one and we'd love to see you there! It’s going to be amazingly eclectic night of off-kilter rock ‘n’ roll.

DNFMOMD: Interview with SciFi Pulse!

SciFi Pulse did a very lengthy interview with us recently on the scope of our band and we shared opinions on a host of other sci-fi and spy-related tv and movies. From the SciFi Pulse press release,

"featured in our fifty third episode is a music act with a difference, because everything about them is a celebration of the classic 1960s Spy Fi series The Prisoner, which was written and starred in by the late great Patrick McGoohan....During the course of this unusual interview. Host Ian Cullen and the gang discuss their musical inspirations, and their love of the 60s and 70s Spy genre in television and movies."

The interview is downloadable here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/scifipulse (Episode 53) or you can stream from this link and you can download from I-tunes by searching for SciFiPulse.
